Are you looking for some plants that will flourish on the Shore? Visit the Eastern Shore of Virginia Master Gardeners (ESVMG) at the Onancock Market on October 17, from 9 am until 12 noon, and learn about Eastern Shore native plants and how to care for them. We will be selling native annuals, herbs, perennials, shrubs and trees donated by members or local nurseries and offering gardening tips. Visit the website at www.easternshoremastergardeners.com for more information about ESVMG.

More on the master Gardener Program
The Master Gardener training program offers you the opportunity to benefit from a different expert each class day, plus field trips to enhance what you are learning. In addition, you meet a wonderful group of people with common interests. The training is offered once a year, usually one day a week, January through April.
After training is completed, the Master Gardener Intern completes 50 hours of volunteer service in approved projects. Click here to view a sample of our projects. While the training is free, there is a charge of approximately $100, based on the cost to the Master Gardeners to pay for the comprehensive reference manual compiled by Virginia Tech University. Volunteers must complete a background check. Click on the link below to read about the screening procedure. More information is available at the first Intern training class.
