READER SUBMITTED ISSUE: Why does the Town of Cape Charles tolerate this eyesore?
I wonder…. On the land owned by the town of Cape Charles at the corner of Fig Street and Randolph Avenue there’s a beautiful children’s garden. But between the garden and the old Fitzhugh property, there’s piles of golf cart parts, pallets and just plain trash laying on town property. This eyesore has gotten worse, not better over the last few summers. Why does the town allow a business (Custom Carts) to store junk on their property? The golf cart people, will not clean it up. And at the town offices…talking to building code officials, planning, the town manager, the mayor….nobody seems to have the interest or authority to act.
