Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled its next seminar, “Flying the F-100 “Widowmaker”.” The free 90-minute seminar will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 19 in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
John Schulz, who spent over five years flying the F-100 Super Sabre, will tell us about the plane that flew more fighter missions in Vietnam than all other fighters combined, about the men who flew it, and the design characteristics that made the plane so dangerous to fly.
Schulz was an Air Force officer for nearly nine years, then moved to careers in journalism, then education. He and Linda retired to Cape Charles in 2008.
