On August 16, 2018, the Cape Charles Town Council adopted a resolution designating the first Saturday in March as Cape Charles Day to be celebrated annually with civic activities to commemorate the Town’s
incorporation on March 1, 1886.
The 2nd Annual Cape Charles Day will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
9:00 AM to Noon will be Community Clean-up Day, followed by a Picnic in Central Park from Noon to 2:00 PM.
This year, we are also offering shredding services as part of the Community Clean-up Day. We have contracted with our vendor, Stericycle/ Shred-It, to have a shredding truck located at Central Park from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If you have any important documents that you need to dispose of in a secure manner, please bring them and have them shredded. Please remove your
documents from any type of binder and make sure they don’t contain any binder clips. Paper clips and staples are safe for the shredding machine and do not need to be removed.
At noon, the Mayor and Council will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for a community picnic in Central Park. There will be live music by the Billy Joe Trio.

Is this event for folks that live on the outside of the town or for anyone who lives in the 23310 zip code?
Thank you.
