What’s a good Zionist to think? Ilhan Omar, one of the first of two Muslim women to be elected to Congress (D- Minnesota), is a new kind of politician who can openly side with Hamas against Israel or spread “Protocols of Zion”-style conspiracies on Twitter, claiming that Jews possess the supernatural ability to hypnotize the world as they unfurl their “evil.”
Omar also supports the “boycott, divestment and sanctions” movement (BDS).
Omar’s comment came in response to a website called Muslim Girl, which pressed her on her appearance during the campaign at a Minneapolis-area synagogue. During that candidates’ forum, she said that BDS “stops the dialogue” and is “counteractive” to achieving a two-state outcome.
Omar offered the prescribed Democrat line, noting that her opposition to anti-BDS legislation but framed it as a free-speech issue.
“Ilhan believes in and supports the BDS movement, and has fought to make sure people’s right to support it isn’t criminalized,” her campaign told Muslim Girl after the election. “She does, however, have reservations on the effectiveness of the movement in accomplishing a lasting solution.” Lasting solution? What might that be?
Omar insists Israel is an “apartheid regime,” however, Israel’s laws, make no distinctions based on a person’s race. Every person in Israel has the ability to participate in the democratic process, and all have equal standing under the law, including Muslims.
Not one Democratic Party leader has condemned the growing hatred that has come to symbolize the Democratic Party.
FBI statistics indicate that Jews were the victims of 60 percent of religiously motivated hate crimes in 2017, although they were just 2 percent of the population. It is not just Jew hatred on the far Right–the average American Jew is more likely to encounter an aggressively “anti-Zionist” BDS activist on a campus (or a progressive march) than a white supremacist.
So it goes.

“What’s a good Zionist to think?” This article should have been titled “How can a moral person support vicious racist remarks cloaked in false assertion of freedom of speech?”
In our democracy, we support opposing opinions about the MERITS of various policies and alliances.
How can we tolerate a candidate or elected official who voices racist remarks, hatred, slander, and unsubstantiated generalizations about a group of people, culture or race?
My father served in the US Army during WWII, liberating the death camps; he told me that he saw scenes of unspeakable evil. This evil began with the election of Hilter, a man who spoke about and acted on his racist beliefs while other nations and institutions remained silent.
If we rail against racist remarks by our president, but stand silent about these racist remarks – we have lost our way.
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”

Why is it we can have groups for promoting Black pride
Hispanic pride, Gay pride and so many others but White pride is not allowed?????
Paul Plante says
That is simple.
We are supposed to be suffering and literally wallowing in white guilt because we happened to be born with white skin (actually, Hispanics with roots from Spain are whiter than I am) and everybody knows that everything wrong with the world today was caused by people with white skin, so to be socially acceptable today, we can’t feel a shred of pride about being white, and to be truthful, I am not that superficial that I would judge myself by the color of my skin in the first place, so I never had white pride to begin with.
Not ever having had white pride, I can’t suffer from white guilt, but hey, that is just me.
As to all these others, being proud because they are black, or gay or queer, or whatever, have at it.
It is America, afterall.
Somebody being proud of being a queer is their God-given right in America backed up by the full strength of the Democrat party, which makes it about as American as American can get, and that is that.

Good Luck With That….
“Sick of liberals trying to make you feel guilty about slavery? All you need to do is remind them of a few historical points:
All races kept slaves all throughout history.
Most of the American slave ships and American slave-markets were run by Jews. But no one blames modern Jews. Because if anyone today says anything was “run by Jews”, they’re immediately dismissed as a crazy anti-Semite, regardless of whether or not it’s true.
When the Trans-Atlantic slave ships docked at African slave-markets to buy slaves, they bought slaves who were already slaves. It was Arab Muslims and Black Africans themselves who captured members of rival tribes and took them to the coastal slave-markets to sell to the Whites and Jews. White people didn’t go into Africa and kidnap free black people. They barely needed to get off their ships to buy slaves, it was like buying McDonalds at a drive-through. The slaves were already at the slave-market in chains, ready to go.
In the 16th – 18th century, Africans enslaved 1.5 million White Europeans in the Barbary Slave Trade. African Muslims raided up the coastlines of Europe, particularly the British Isles but even as far as Iceland, kidnapping and enslaving White European Christians. The men were galley slaves, and the women were sex slaves. This was more brutal than working on a plantation or as a domestic servant.
Native Americans and Jews owned Black slaves too, but no one seems to assign a collective guilt to modern Native Americans and Jews for their slavery. In fact, Jews were the biggest slave-owners in America per capita.
Whites were the first people to stop slavery in modern times, whereas slavery still continues in Africa to this day. In Mauritania slavery was only made a punishable offense in 2007!
Less than 2% of Whites in America ever owned slaves
Only 5% of the black slaves transported across the Atlantic actually went to the modern U.S. Most in fact went to Latin America to serve Hispanic slave-owners. But we don’t look at modern Hispanics as evil slave-owners.”
Liberals have one color.

HEAR! HEAR!!
Those are the types of truth that they just can’t handle. It does not fit the liberal agenda and narrative, nor does it match the lies the urchins are taught in public schools or colleges.

Just curious, Loraine, but when you say the Pledge of Allegiance, if in fact you do say it, do you say “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and the democracy for which it stands?”
Mike Kuzma, Jr. says
Ms. Huchler, you let me know the moment President Trump says something actually racist-not some statement conflated by the media into a racist statement- and I will certainly speak against him.
BUT see, the thing is, anti-Semitism IS the sole province of the Left. So, until I see actual DEMOCRATS eschew the racism inherent in their party, I will continue to ‘speak truth to power’ and that is that the Democrats are now, and always have been the party of slavery, Jim Crow, and anti-Semitism.
Paul Plante says
History will give you no arguments there, either.
