With just 20 days to go, the race in HD-100 is now rated a “Toss-Up”
Hernandez also has 3 times more cash on hand
NORFOLK, VA — For the fourth reporting period in a row, Phil Hernandez has out-raised his opponent, Rob Bloxom, Jr. In the month of September, Hernandez raised over $258,000, ending the month with over $360,000 in cash on hand.
Currnently, the race is being rated as a “Toss Up” for the first time. This reflects the power of his grassroots support, with over 3,000 contributions under $100 compared to Bloxom, Jr.’s 6 contributions under $100.
By the numbers:
- Hernandezraised $258,264 — over 2:1 more than his opponent.
- Hernandez cash on hand is $363,971 — 3:1 more than his opponent.
- Hernandez has now doubled the record for most amount raised in a race for House District 100.
- Hernandez had over 3,200 contributions under $100 — compared to just 6 for his opponent.
- Hernandez average grassroots contribution (under $100) was just $6.20
Note: The Mirror has asked the Herndez campaign for a list of out of state donors, but has not received a response as of this publication.

How much money did Hernandez receive from out of state? Who are the special interests that own this guy? How does someone who never ran for office on the eastern shore get so much funding? Bloxom has done a great job for the shore for years. He is one of us! Vote BLOXOM.
Note: The Mirror has attempted to get a list of Hernandez’s out of state donors. We are still waiting.

Bloxom is the one owned by special interests — just look at his big money corporate donors, largest being Dominion Energy. He’s got 6 grassroots donors to Phil’s 3200 — that should tell you all you need to know. Phil is supported by real people — Bloxom is in the hand of big corporations. So much so that he doesn’t even feel the need to talk to his constituents. Typical lazy corrupt politician, bought and paid for by the special interests. No wonder Phil is getting so much support. Time for a change.

Just when I thought I’d heard it all and seen it all. Politics sure is a sad state of affairs. Now I hear ads on the radio where Mr. Hernandez insults Rep. Bloxom by saying his political position has helped his auto repair, and parts sales business win lucrative government contracts with lots of ill gotten gains. NONSENSE. If you know anything about such contracts, you know the business with the lowest bid wins the contract. So Bloxom Auto Parts and Shore Tire both enter the best bids to win contracts. The only way this is bad, is that it AGAIN SHOWS US Mr. Hernandez is clueless compared to Mr. Bloxom.
I see a supporter here writes in to say Mr. Bloxom’s biggest contributor is Dominion Energy. NONSENSE. All of you. Please visit “follow the money.org.” They list where candidates $ comes from. Mr. Bloxom has no listing from Dominion Energy. The largest contributor has a similar name but has nothing to do with the energy co. Smoke and Mirrors. It’s all Hernandez has. Want to see something REALLY SHADY ? At “follow the money” look at how many contributions are listed t be from Phil Hernandez himself. Just how many dishonest statements and dealings do we have to live through before we get this election over with ? Hernandez is not telling the truth at all, and he’s simply trying to get over on us. I can see right through this carpetbagger.
