The annual Swine and Wine dinner supporting the Eastern Shore Boys and Girls Club is Saturday, October 8th, and those in the know will be getting their tickets early because last year’s gala event sold out early.
The goal of the Boys & Girls Club is to help its members achieve academic success, develop good character and citizenship and maintain healthy lifestyles.
This year’s Swine & Wine will again be held at Bill Parr’s barn, a two-story structure that is decorated with an Eastern Shore flair and has ample room for dining and dancing. You can hear the barrier island surf from the second story overlook. It is located at 24021Seaside Road (Route 600), Cape Charles.
Held from 6 PM to 10 PM, Swine & Wine, will feature roast pig and chicken plus wine and other beverages. Groove Junction, the same band that has provided dance music for the past six years, only with a different name, will be performing.
A silent auction will feature Eastern Shore art, golfing trips, fishing gear and many other items.
Tickets to the event are $50 and $40 for young adults 30 years and younger. Sponsorships are available for Swine & Wine that will help the Club achieve its mission. A $1000 Platinum Sponsor includes eight tickets to the event. A $500 Gold Sponsor receives four tickets. A $250 Silver Sponsor receives two tickets. There is also the $150 Angel Donation.
