Town Council awarded Browder-Hite the grounds maintenance service contract for the next year.
The bid package contains 3 separate parts–one for mowing Town properties, one for Central Park Maintenance and the third is a new contract proposal for maintenance of the Stone Road corridor.
According to public works director Dave Fauber, the town has been cutting the grass along Stone Road, and that is the reason that work was added to the bid.
The bid for the maintenance of Central Park, including mowing, fertilization, aeration, herbicide spraying, mulching, pruning, and irrigation is $17,130, up from $15,705. The maintenance of the Stone Road corridor came in at $32,000. Browder-Hite’s bid for mowing services is $31,000, up from $24,025. The total for all three is $80,130.
Browder-Hite is also contracted for weeding and mulching of the flower beds in town at a cost of $13,250. The annual total for everything is $98,380.
Browder-Hite was the only bidder for the service.
