The Cape Charles Mirror has reached 2 million views, and our comments total nearly 15,000.
We have said this before, but the numbers show that this project belongs to you, the community of the lower Eastern Shore.
The Editor will admit, this endeavor can be a bit of a grind. He has a day job that he loves and takes up 50 to 80 hours a week, so the Mirror is a bit the labor of love (sic).
However, we try each week to produce a product that entertains, makes you think, pisses you off, and sometimes makes you laugh.
More importantly, since Festivus is upon us, it is a forum to air your grievances. Kind of like Speaker’s Corner in Hyde Park London, anyone can comment (not all comments make it through though).
The Mirror thanks you for the time and effort you put into this thing, and as citizens, keep up the good work.

The Cape Charles Mirror is a true Grand Palladium of Liberty in the American sense of the term, and we are blessed by Divine Providence to have it, because I can think of none other.

Dear Paul,
I almost spit out my drink when I read the Grand Palladium of Liberty comment !
I don’t live in VA, but I have always loved Cape Charles, and would check out the Mirror to see what was going on. The reason I keep coming back though, is to read Paul Plante commentary.
I find that you never disappoint. Your comments are always accurate and thoroughly convincing. Never have I found disagreement with anything you have written.
Keep fighting the good fight.

Thank you very much!
And to me, it is far too valuable a resource to waste!

The Cape Charles Mirror. Sometimes I love what I read here, and sometimes I don’t. I do always appreciate that the Mirror allows me the opportunity. One of life’s pleasures.

Scotiagirl is a fan! And, by the wsy, she is very happy that the unsightly weeds at the Harbour have been bushogged. The deer seem to have adjusted as have all those dogs that have come into Cape Charles via boats! (Or so we were told)

On this Thanksgiving day, 2020, I would like to give thanks that we common folks of modest means and without political clout have the Cape Charles Mirror for our entertainment and continued edification about pretty much everything there is to be edified about, or at least everythinbg anybody would want to be edified about.
It’s very much like a real-time, modern day version of Dante’s Divine Comedy where the characters get to write their own dialogue and each new episode is chock full to the brim with thrills, chills and just plain old-fashioned fun and entertainment galore.
