While biking, walking shopping or just driving through town, you may notice two new faces wearing Cape Charles Police Department uniforms. The CCPD introduces two new officers, Anthony Jette and Andrew Spencer. Both Officer Jette and Spencer graduated from the police academy on May 4, 2017. Welcome aboard!

Assign one of them to stop the speeding on Madison Ave. I saw a little girl almost get killed last week. I narrowly escaped last year when the special needs school bus ran the stop sign at 50+ mph (wheels almost came off the ground). I was told they have to see it in order to ticket someone. It’s hard to see it if you are not here. Children have limited frontal lobe development until age 20+. No matter how many times you tell them to look both ways, in the moment, they’ll forget. That’s why the adults are supposed yo be in charge. Remember this comment. Someone is going to get killed on Madison Ave.
