Charles Police Department Report for October. Halloween month points to a slowing of activity, as summer gives way to fall, and the tourist, as well as general traffic recedes towards winter. There was only one arrest this month, for trespassing. CCPD did receive a grant from VML to purchase stop sticks for each police vehicle and a thermal imaging device. Stop Sticks, according to the manufacturer are, “the world’s leading tire-deflation device, ends high-speed automobile pursuits quickly and safely.”
