The CCPD answered 97 calls for service in Cape Charles, and 9 outside of town. They assisted Northampton Sheriff’s 8 times, and the State Police 9 times.
There was one felony arrest for attempting to elude the police. There were 9 misdemeanor arrests, including DUI, reckless driving in excess of 85 mph, attempts to defraud a shopkeeper, and selling alcohol to a person already stinking drunk.
Also, arrests were made for Assault and Battery of a family member, and Violation of a protective order.
The force logged 38 foot patrol hours, as well as 20 hours patrolling Bay Creek.
14 Traffic tickets were handed out, and 8 parking tickets.

I am curious as to how they logged it in the night a police officer stopped his car, got out, and began to bully a small group of kids. Because he “tooted” the horn at them and he “thought” one of them said something. One of the children very calmly said he was going to get a parent. The officer then kept repeating, in a shout I might add, ” I don’t care about your mom!”. This is fact and I have a video. Maybe this should be put into their “stats”.

By the way Nioaka…you seem to think i have done something in my past for which i should fear the police. I fear no one in law enforcement, and do not even have a misdemeanor charge on my record. I have driven over one million miles without a single accident, and have no more than 4 minor traffic violations. I put my record against anyone’s. With your snide little comment you have implied that i have something serious in my past to conceal. Maybe you should enlighten us all! Put up or shut up with your petty insinuations and directly state what is on your mind…whats left of it.
