Town Council approved the submittal of two applications for USDA grant/loans to fund capital projects. The total for both applications is $144,905.
The money is slated to go towards lawn mowing equipment for the public works department, and new code enforcement software, which according to the town is obsolete. Monies for water projects, if approved, will be awarded sometime after September 30th.
The maximum interest rate is expected to be around 3.5%.

Why a video surveillance system? It’s not like they would ever look at it. Also, everyone these days has cameras installed on their properties. Waste of money, at the taxpayers expense.
Jeremy says
While a lot of people have surveillance on their own properties, that doesn’t mean that the town has it on public properties. They would look at it, when something happens, and they actually need to monitor it. There have been instances of people slashing tires in town, so, maybe this could help combat it. Why do you waste your time posting prattle all the time?
Nioaka Marshall says
Because I have freedom of speech and, therefore, have a right to express my opinion. I speak from knowledge. If you actually lived in town and listened and watched, you would know also.
Jeremy says
I do live in town, I do watch and listen. That’s exactly how I knew about the tire slashing. I respect your freedom of speech, but, respect mine to call you a moron when you’re acting and speaking as such.
Nioaka Marshall says
I stand behind my statements.
