Congresswoman Elaine Luria Issues Statement on Israeli-Palestinian Peace Plan

February 2, 2020 by Wayne Creed 2 Comments

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Luria issued the following statement on the Israeli-Palestinian peace plan that the President proposed.

“I am encouraged by the administration’s commitment to a bold plan to resolve the Israel-Palestinian conflict. Any meaningful peace agreement must have the full participation and buy-in of both parties, and a final agreement can be made if— and only if— the Palestinians explicitly promise to end their support for terrorism and respect Israel’s right to exist,” Congresswoman Elaine Luria said. “This plan is a step in the direction towards achieving a lasting peace that upholds the sovereignty and dignity of both peoples.”

Luris has to put herself in Palestinian shoes and think she can never do that….perhaps read Jimmy Carter”s Aparteid book…also the fact that trump moved our u.s. embassy to Jerusalem …which is supposed to be divided among four groups…per the UN and I think the UN said that Jerrusalem is supposed to be an INTERNATIONAL CITY ……and then there are all those UN resolutions that have never been heeded by the Israelis..we invaded Iraq because Saddam did not heed about 12 UN resolutions!!! No right of return which is of course understandable..but I think Carter said if they continue on the same path (essentially a one state solution) the Palestinians will have greater numbers anyway due to increased family size…Look at his map changes
over the years….and see what you think. Is this fair? Besides when the Israelis left Gaza they destroyed the settlement homes….This is not in the new plan. Why not? Because the settlers stay? on the high ground, no? Again , look at it through Palestinian eyes…Would you come to the same conclusion that this is a GOOD plan?
