Eastern Shore Health District Announces Two Additional Covid-19 Deaths

April 26, 2020 by Wayne Creed 5 Comments

(Accomac, Va.) – Today, the Eastern Shore Health District is reporting two more deaths of Eastern Shore residents.  The first was a male in his 50s.  The second was a female also in her 50’s.

“We are incredibly sad to hear of the passing of two members of our Eastern Shore family.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families,” said Chief Operating Officer, Jon Richardson. “We have seen a significant increase in our case count over the past week.  Many of those cases are associated with outbreaks which are currently under investigation.”

Why can’t we learn more about where these COVID 19 infected people are located? Northampton and Accomack county numbers have been rising almost daily the past 7-10 days. Accomack now has 187 and Northampton 24. Very few people wearing masks at Cape Charles Food Lion, including employees.

According to a lot of people here, don’t worry about it. It’s just like the flu – no big deal. Riverside has a total of 65 beds. Maybe reserve a room just in case?

‘Maybe reserve a room just in case?’

What the f*ck is wrong with you? I mean really. Your liberal, smug comments are sickening. You do realize that many of us no longer view you and those like you as our fellow Americans? What are people like you going to do if shit ever hits the fan again, like it did in 1861? Ask the UN for help?

tokenny, it is not according to a “lot of people here;” it is according to the CDC updated March 26, 2020, to wit:

CDC is responding to a pandemic of respiratory disease spreading from person-to-person caused by a novel (new) coronavirus.

The disease has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”).

COVID-19 can cause mild to severe illness; most severe illness occurs in older adults.

Most people have mild illness and are able to recover at home without medical care.

Reported illnesses have ranged from very mild (including some with no reported symptoms) to severe, including illness resulting in death.

While information so far suggests that most COVID-19 illness is mild, a report out of China suggests serious illness occurs in 16% of cases.

        end quotes

And then there are other medical sources such as “Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)” by Author: Kenneth McIntosh, MD Section, Editor: Martin S Hirsch, MD, Deputy Editor: Allyson Bloom, MD; Literature review current through: Mar 2020; This topic last updated: Apr 07, 2020, to wit:

Spectrum of illness severity — The spectrum of symptomatic infection ranges from mild to critical; most infections are not severe [38,40-45].

        end quotes

That article also highlights the bull**** nature of those tests you are pushing, tokenny, to wit:

A positive test for SARS-CoV-2 generally confirms the diagnosis of COVID-19, although false-positive tests are possible.

False-negative tests from upper respiratory specimens have been documented.

        end quotes

And then there is the Health.com “Coronavirus Symptoms vs Cold: How Do They Compare? – They’re super similar in some ways — and very different in others” by Leah Groth updated March 24, 2020, to wit:

As far as coronavirus symptoms go, the CDC says all reported coronavirus illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Fortunately, while there have been reports of severe illness and death related to coronavirus, most confirmed cases have mild symptoms, according to a study published in The Lancet.

        end quotes

Or the VOA article “What Is COVID-19 and What Does It Do to My Body?” by Carol Pearson updated March 31, 2020, to wit:

        What is COVID-19?

COVID-19 is a coronavirus, part of a large family of viruses that include the common cold as well as more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

What does COVID-19 do to a person’s body?

COVID-19 is a respiratory virus so it begins and ends in the lungs.

There are cases where the virus is so mild, that patient doesn’t know he is sick.

        end quotes

And then there is the Cleveland Clinic article on Coronavirus, to wit:

Symptoms can range in severity from very mild to severe.

In about 80% of patients, COVID-19 causes only mild symptoms.

        How deadly is COVID-19?

So far, health officials are seeing mostly mild to moderate infections caused by the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

The death rate from COVID-19 compared with other coronavirus outbreaks remains low at this point in time.

        end quotes

So, tokenny, if you don’t like the use of the word “mild” being applied to COVID, because it makes things so much less hysterical than you would rather have them be, who you need to put in your complaint to would be the CDC and the medical personnel above who are spoiling your narrative for you.

Why do need to know we’re COVId-19 diagnosed people live? Are you going bring them food and medical supplies while they quarantined?
