Golf Cart Tour of Cape Charles, Reception and Casting Call
Experimental Film Virginia, now in its 5th year, is looking for volunteers to drive their golf cart with EFV residents as passengers for a tour. Be a local storyteller and guide and friendly face offering a personal glimpse into town history and folklore. This is followed by a Meet and Greet reception with the artists at Lemon Tree Gallery. The 2016 films will then be shown at the Historic Palace Theatre

Art in a Barn

One of Experimental Film Virginia’s signature events! Live music and special performances with guests from around the world. Come ready to enjoy picnic-style food with local wines and beers featured at our cash bar. Wine tasting by Chatham Vineyards from 6-7 p.m.This is a casual event, takes place at a 100-year-old restored barn. . Meet our friends from the Virginia Oyster Trail, the Virginia Film Office as well as special guests. Performances happen throughout the evening featuring the international and local talent of Experimental Film Virginia including Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer (presenting the interactive media and dance film piece called “Truck”), Italian artist Stefano Giorgi, Virginia Opera’s Ann Carolyn-Bird, Italian dance company Balletto Teatro di Torino and harpist Federica Magliano.$10 includes one drink ticket and all performances. Reel & Raw
Reel & Raw is the much anticipated premiere of the 2017 films of Experimental Film Virginia. Every short film is conceived, created, edited and ready for viewing within a two week period of time, all shot on location here in Virginia by artists who come from Los Angeles to Turin to Taipei. The entire event is outdoors at the Cape Charles Yacht Center, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Virginia Oyster Trail curated food local food for sale, cash bar, surprise entertainment, live music by IDox and special guests.
