Northam: “Proud to Endorse a Fellow Eastern Shore Native”
EXMORE, VA – Today, Governor Ralph Northam announced his endorsement of Finale Johnson Norton, Candidate for Delegate in District 100.
“With her humble beginnings on the Shore and her decades-long business career in Norfolk, Finale Johnson Norton understands the challenges faced every day by the people of District 100,” the Governor remarked. “Now more than ever, District 100’s working families need a Delegate who will fight for their communities. I am proud to endorse a fellow native of the Eastern Shore, Finale Johnson Norton, for Delegate.”
“I am honored to earn Governor Northam’s endorsement,” said Johnson Norton. “He is an exemplary leader who has never forgotten his roots on the Shore. From expanding Medicaid to creating green jobs with the historic Virginia Clean Economy Act, the Governor has delivered for Virginians. Northam’s endorsement is the latest sign of momentum for Johnson Norton’s candidacy. In every finance report, Johnson Norton has consistently outpaced the incumbent’s in fundraising. U.S. Senator Tim Kaine and Delegate Jay Jones recently headlined events in support, and Johnson Norton additionally earned the endorsements of Congresswoman Elaine Luria and State Senator Jennifer McClellan. Over 20 organizations around the Commonwealth and nationally have endorsed her campaign.
