Today, July 4th 2021, Cape Charles will once again be celebrating the 4th of July just the way we have in the past. That includes our great parade, all the awesome music at the gazebo, and Harbor Ave jam-packed with people, food, and lots of craft and artisan vendors.
What better way to celebrate freedom (from Covid?) than hanging out in the Town of Cape Charles?
The parade begins at 10:00, followed by all the and excitement on Bay Avenue. The Laidbaxxs start off the music at 11:00 in the Gazebo, Conor Handwerk at the LOVE sign at 2:00. A full rundown of all the activities is in the poster below.
Of course, Fireworks are after the sun goes down!

I heard that the Fireworks this year will be spectacular being run by a World Class Fireworks Expert, a true Pyrotechnical Genius. Be sure to have your cameras on record mode with sound to get all the benefits of this amazing show!

The fireworks were spectacular this year! But I did not see any police presence and it was concerning that people were setting off fireworks on the beach and from the dunes in the Monroe Avenue area. Also, Monroe Avenue was blocked off at Harbor, but not at Bay, so as cars were leaving the fireworks, they were turning from Bay onto Monroe, then trying to go around the barrier at Harbor, which, in the dark, was very dangerous for pedestrians. Did not see any police directing traffic, at least in the Monroe Avenue area of Bay Avenue.

I bet they have nice fireworks where you came from.
