Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACEs, are abuse and neglect and household dysfunction, which over time can erode health, create a barrier to learning and result in behavioral issues that inhibit students’ ability to get along in school and adults’ abilities to work well in the workplace.
Monday, May 13 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Everyone should know about them to prevent them and to learn how to not re-traumatize others who have suffered as a result of ACEs.
Eastern Shore Healthy Communities is offering a free presentation on Adverse Childhood Experiences at Eastern Shore Community College. For those who have previously taken the presentation, a “Train-the-Trainer” Workshop is available Monday/Tuesday, May 13/14, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Eastern Shore Community College, Work Force Development Conference Room.
ESHC is happy to provide a presentation to your organization or faith community by request. To reserve your space in either the Presentation, or the Train-the-Trainer Workshop, or to schedule a training, contactkigerpg@evms.edu.
