The best part of summer is being able to grab all that fresh Eastern Shore produce. On Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The New Roots Youth Garden, located at 50 Fig Street, is now selling fresh picked veggies from the garden.
The garden stand is open, weather permitting.
Available produce may vary from week to week, so be sure to stop by and check out what the youth and volunteers are harvesting.
Paul Plante says
What a nice thought, this youth garden!
Good for them!
CHARLES MCWILLIAMS says
Too bad the haters, the self entitled, the incapable of civil discourse, were to put away their meager differences for but one afternoon and come to Cape Charles to see what’s truly important in life and to visit New Roots Youth Garden. Perhaps they might stay.
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
A result of often imperfect upbringings, a society in tatters. Hopefully, tomorrow’s generation will skip a step and bypass what’s been otherwise placed in their laps.
