Gossip: How long can Bay Creek hold on?

March 3, 2019 by 1 Comment

Sources have told the Mirror that Sinclair, the owners of Bay Creek South, LLC, have been growing frustrated, and have wanted Bay Creek out of thier hair for some time.

With things spiraling downward, local developer Eyre Baldwin stepped in to purchase the entity. Baldwin told the Mirror a few months back, that the goal was to streamline and refocus the resort and club, and tie it into other local initiatives. Workforce training in the golf and hospitality trades was going to be key to the future.

Other sources told the Mirror, however that the deal with Baldwin had fallen through, and that feeling they had bought a pig in a poke, Sinclair was ready to ditch the whole thing.

Baldwin told the Mirror this week that rumors of the deal’s demise were being overstated. While the negotiations are challenging, according to Baldwin, the deal is not dead yet.

This appears to be the typical tale of private golf courses tied to housing developments in rural areas.
