Guided Walking Tour of Historic Eastville June 23

May 26, 2019 by Wayne Creed 1 Comment

The Northampton Historic Preservation Society is offering a Guided Walking Tour of Historic Eastville on Sunday, June 23 at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (rain or shine). Town historian David Scott will provide an informative overview of Eastville and offer a new segment covering more houses on Willow Oak Road this year.

The walking tour will start at the Northampton Court Green, one of the oldest in the country, where you can imagine how it looked at various times during its 300+ year history. Learn about the historic district, which showcases high-style and vernacular buildings. Picture Eastville in the early 1900’s when it was bustling during an economic, agricultural, and transportation boom, and Courthouse Road was a major thoroughfare in the county.

Register now to hold your spot! Space is limited and pre-registration will help the program start on time. Attendees are asked to register early using any credit card at ww.northamptonhistoricpreservationsociety.com.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Meeting place directions will also be on the Society’s website.

The walk will be approximately one mile in length so be sure to dress comfortably.
