In just a few days, we will vote on the future of our community. We know we are struggling. We see it in many of the day-to-day aspects of our lives: our struggling education system, deficient workforce housing, the lack of good-paying jobs, and healthcare that too many can’t access or afford.
This year, though, is different. For the first time in many years, the Eastern Shore has attracted a political candidate who comes to the table with an energetic commitment I’ve yet to see in a local public servant.
Phil Hernandez understands how our issues are connected and why each must be resolved if Eastern Shore households are to catapult ahead. He has experience finding solutions to pressing issues from his work as both a clean energy policy analyst and a civil rights attorney. He has the intellect, work ethic, and—what I especially like—the interpersonal skills to navigate Richmond’s corridors.
I’m voting for Phil Hernandez because I’m committed to the Eastern Shore’s betterment and convinced Phil will work tirelessly to help us achieve it. We have a unique opportunity to embrace an era of economic and social renewal come November 5th. Don’t take my word for it; go to www.philforvirginia.com and get to know him and his priorities.
