The Cape Charles Mirror reached 10,000 approved comments last week, with commentator Paul Plante posting 9,203 of them 🙂
This is a great milestone because no one person owns the Mirror–it belongs to all of us in the Cape Charles community–everyone is welcome to participate here.
The contributions to the Mirror Community make it better. The article may posit an idea, but all the comments make every subject more interesting and robust.
Sometimes things can get testy, but the discourse makes us stronger.
This discourse makes the two-way communications of our community exciting. Fostering an open dialogue of ideas is the most fundamental part.
The Mirror thanks you for reading, and we look forward to the next 10,000 comments.

Yes, open dialogue!
This might well be one of the few places in America where that is actually happening.
So it can truthfully be said that the Cape Charles Mirror is one of the few bastions of liberty we have in this country, where bastion is defined as an institution or person strongly defending or upholding particular principles such as RULE OF LAW.
Long live the Cape Charles Mirror!

Congratulations on the ten thousand comments. And congratulations to Paul for his 9,203…9,204 contributions. And yes, Wayne without discourse where would this nation be? One thing I ask of any written contribution though, is this. Please know what the hell you are talking about before posting. You know, write what you know. But I see some of you already do that. So! Tally forth and get your point across…today! I know I will.

Typical Democrat.
Who died and left you in charge?
Paul Plante says
Good day to you, Chas Cornweller!
Ray Otton says
Ah yes, a congrats and a scold all in one paragraph.
No wonder we don’t listen to you.
