Notes Sent by Thomy (I am quite content doing very little slowly) from Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore of Saltwater Virginia, where there is nothing to do and we do it all day long.
The town government hired Opinion Research to study and evaluate the summer people who come to Cape Charles for their vacation. The researchers spent the summer months interviewing 357 people. They were asked about the accommodations , restaurants, the beach, and their interaction with the people who staff these businesses. They were tasked with giving us a profile of the typical vacationer. Instead of boring the council members with a lot of statistics resulting from SPSS, clustering techniques, ANOVA, etc. they presented the audience with a picture to sum up their finding.
The results are below:
Most attendee said they would have preferred a statistical presentation.

Paul Plante says
That dude with the golf cart should have to wear a sign on his butt warning of “wide load ahead” as a safety precaution.
Maybe what Cape Charles really needs is a Phat Farm where oversize dudes like the wide load in that picture can work off a few extra pounds so they wouldn’t be such a burden on the poor golf cart.
