Special Opinion to the Mirror by Paul Plante
In his then-contemporary world history of what is known to history as the Interwar Period (1918–1939), the period between the end of the First World War and the beginning of the Second World War, also called the interbellum, titled “World Wars And Revolutions” copyrighted 1943, at p.152, the author, Walter Phelps Hall, PhD, of Princeton, informs us follows concerning “fascism,” to wit:
Fascism is an all-embracing doctrine which demands a one hundred percent surrender of the individual will in the name of mystical nationalism – with ends not clearly defined.
This nationalism is beyond good and evil, and thus is deified.
Therefore, fascism properly should be classed as a kind of religion like communism, the latter based on class-consciousness, the former on nationalism.
Focus on those words, fascism properly should be classed as a kind of religion, and then focus in on these words from our own times here in the United States of America today, to wit:
It is very, very difficult to put into words what has transpired today.
This temple to democracy was desecrated.
Those are words that were uttered on 6 January 2021 in Democrat Charley “Chuck” Schumer’s Statement to the Senate on the Storming of the Capitol, where Schumer laid the blame for the rioting squarely on President Donald Trump, which is another subject for another thread, because my focus in here is on this dangerous “TEMPLE TO DEMOCRACY” horse****, which would imply that democracy is now a state religion in the United States of America the way fascism was a state religion in Nazi Germany, Charley “Chuck” Schumer was peddling to the members of the United States Senate at 10:06 P.M. on 6 January 2021 and again in a TWEET to the TWITTERATI on TWITTER, as follows:
Chuck Schumer @SenSchumer
The Senate passed the bill to award the Congressional Gold Medal to Capitol Police and those who protected the Capitol against the January 6th insurrection.
I can’t imagine more worthy recipients than those who put their lives on the line to defend our temple of democracy.
Now, first of all, there was no insurrection on 6 January 2021, but again, that is another subject for another day, because the focus in here is on this dangerous “TEMPLE OF DEMOCRACY” horse**** Charley “Chuck” is peddling, as if he were a religious leader here in America similar to an Ayatollah in Iraq or Iran, because the word “temple,” at least as us common Americans would understand it, means a building devoted to the worship, or regarded as the dwelling place, of a god or gods or other objects of religious reverence.
So why then is Democrat Charley “Chuck” Schumer referring to the United States Capitol as a “temple,” meaning a building devoted to the worship, or regarded as the dwelling place, of a god or gods or other objects of religious reverence?
So, what is it we are supposed to worship in the United States Capitol?
But how does one worship democracy?
On our knees?
Prostate (stretched out with face on the ground in adoration or submission) on the floor with our foreheads touching the floor?
Do we need a priest present?
Getting back to the word “temple,” Merriam-Webster defines “temple” as “a building for religious practice,” while Wikipedia has it as “(A) temple (from the Latin templum) is a building reserved for spiritual rituals and activities such as prayer and sacrifice,” so if the United States Capitol is now a “TEMPLE OF DEMOCRACY,” does that mean that democracy is now our state religion here in the United States of America that we are now required to worship?
And for more disturbing religious overtones, we have Charley “Chuck” telling us on 6 January 2021 that “(T)his temple to democracy was desecrated,” where the word “desecrated” means “treat a sacred place with violent disrespect; violate.”
So when and how did the United States Capitol become a sacred place?
And what kind of trouble will we get into with the “RELIGIOUS POLICE” if we do not buy into Charley “Chuck” Schumer’s poisonous horse**** about the United States Capitol being a “TEMPLE OF DEMOCRACY?”
