Pet of the Week: Meet Indigo

March 5, 2023 by Leave a Comment

Hi I am Indigo I have been at the shelter several months before my feature because I was heartworm positive, and have undergone treatment. I am a female Bulldog mix around 2-3 years old and about 45 pounds. I have been treated for heartworms, I’m spayed, and am up to date on my vaccines.

I am a really awesome gal. I talk to you in a squeal of excitement when I see you first thing in the morning. When people do kennel walkthroughs here, I am one of the calmest in my kennel. Extremely clean, and energetic, I seem to get along with most other dogs and was around several other dogs before coming here. I am not a fan of cats, however.

I truly love people. A compact 45 pounds, I am strong, even for my shorter height. Children with age and height should be able to handle me though. I really enjoy getting in your lap because I don’t realize I don’t fit in all laps!

If you think you may be interested in adopting Indigo, you can come by the shelter Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and pick up an application while you are here. You can also print an application out on our website, www.shorespca.com. You can call us with any questions at 757-787-7385, or email us at shorespca@gmail.com and asked that an application be attached and sent back to you.
