Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled its next seminar, “Human-Baboon Conflict: Can People and Baboons Share Urban Space?”  The free 90-minute seminar will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 1 in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.

Joselyn Mormile will discuss her Ph.D. research on the pervasive conflicts between people and baboons in urban South Africa and how one town has learned to share space with these highly intelligent animals.

Mormile is a wildlife biologist and Ph.D. candidate from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and the Institute for Communities and Wildlife in Africa (iCWild).
