It would be nice to find out where all the 40-47 in 25mph zone tickets were given. If they were given at the entrance to town, where the limit goes down much to quickly from 55 to 25mph, the town elite should think about extending the 40mph zone. If in town, then people need to be made aware that speeding inside town limits is not a joke.
If at the entrance of town, this is nothing but a fund raising activity.

The speed limit signs are easy to see when coming into town. I honestly do not understand what your issue is with following the speed limit.

Some of us object to unnecessary Government intrusion/revenue enhancement cloaked in the guise of ‘safety’.
Bunch of Virginian’s USED to know about the perils of an overarching Government but friend, them folks is gone………..now it is full of people who proudly proclaim their ‘marxism’.
RICK says
HERE HERE Mike , bulls eye, you hit the nail right on the head. All of the speed traps on 13 and in CC are for revenue enhancement first & foremost, then job advancement(rank) second and all disguised as for safety. Mike thank you for reassuring me there are still some of us still around and who haven’t given in.

While not the jurisdiction of Cape Charles. Old Cape Charles Road and Parsons Circle are besieged with drivers well over the speed limit. Parsons Circle had been 50 mph, lowered early 2017 to 35 mph. Old Cape Charles Road and Parsons Circle have speed limits which need to be adhered to. Less than 10% abide by the posted speed. Residents have asked Northampton County to evaluate and issue summons, we believe they will. This is not a free speed zone, an alternative to Bay Creek to avoid Stone Road’s deceleration to 25, people live here and are tired of Bay Shore Concrete and the employes of the industrial complex and of the marina.
your wanton disregard for their safety and quality of life….without your speeding by our homes.

This is not a free speed zone for the employees of Bay Shore Concrete, the industrial complex and the marina to avoid Stone Road’s deceleration to 25! The families and individuals who live along these roads are growing increasingly tired of the wanton disregard for safety and compromise to the quality of life….exhibited by the excessive speeding past their homes.
This has to stop!
