A new poll reveals that an “overwhelming” majority of Americans believe the Obama administration “improperly surveilled” on the Trump campaign.
What did the survey find?
The new Investor’s Business Daily/TIPP poll, which surveyed 900 Americans, found that:
- Regarding election spying, 55 percent said they believe it’s likely the Obama administration “improperly surveilled the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.” Among party lines, 87 percent of Republicans said they believe it is likely while 55 percent of independents concurred.
- When asked if a special counsel is needed to investigation the Justice Department and FBI for their alleged activities regarding the Trump campaign, 54 percent said “yes” while 44 said “no.”
- However, just 35 percent of respondents said they believe high-ranking DOJ officials attempted to outright frame Trump for alleged collusion with Russia.
Other polls have shown similar results.
A Rasmussen poll released this week revealed 50 percent of likely U.S. voters believe “it’s at least somewhat likely senior federal law enforcement officials broke the law in an effort to prevent Donald Trump from winning the presidency,” including 32 percent who believe it’s “very likely.”
Meanwhile, a separate Rasmussen poll revealed just 42 percent of likely U.S. voters believe Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election more than the FBI. On the other hand, 34 percent said they believe the FBI meddled in the election more than Russia.
Paul Plante says
What a bunch of horse**** all the way around.
The federal government is a national embarrassment and a joke.
All drama, no substance!
All idiocy, no brains.
And these two political parties are totally worthless to the American people who are not affiliated with either minority faction.
In many ways, this squabbling between the parties today reminds one of the toxic political environment which existed in this country back in and around 1949, when Chiang Kai Shek actually lost China due to his incompetence and corruption, but which loss was blamed on Harry S. “The buck stops here” Truman and Dean Acheson and the Democrat party which was deemed soft on Commie-nism for not defending Chiang by the China Lobby and Henry Luce’s Time and Life magazines which were giving the American people a distorted and untrue picture of what was actually going on in China as Chiang’s ship of state was going down.
That attack led to the rise of Joe McCarthy and his Commie witch hunts which reminds one of Robert Mueller today with his Russian witch hunt that is going to cleanse our federal government of all Russian influences the way Joe McCarthy was going to cleanse the federal government of Commie influences back when.
And it was all about politics and trying to discredit the Democrats who had been in power for some twenty years and their New Deal, which was deemed socialism by the Republicans.
Except now, it is the Democrats using McCarthy-ism to attack the Republicans to remove them from power so a worthless Democrat can get back in.
A pox on both their houses say I.
Get the both of them out of our government and maybe peace can return to the land as it was in the Age of Good Feelings.
