Sadly, for me, my workday begins at 6 a.m. that day and will not be able to attend. But let me ask this, for all that might be interested in attending……………Does an interested individual have to reside in, and vote in, Cape Charles, to be allowed to speak, or to attend ?

Mr. Trump,
Thanks for your interest in the Mason Avenue parking issue. Short answer to your questions is no. You do not have to be resident of, registered voter, or property owner in town to comment at this public hearing. There are a few rules though. First, submit a written comment to the town clerk’s office by email before close of business on Wednesday February 20. The email address is clerk@capecharles.org, and put “Public hearing comment” in the subject line. Second, the comment will need to have a name and address of the person submitting it, as we require for in person comments. Third, public comment is limited to three minutes, so be mindful that when the clerk reads your comment into the record that night she will stop reading when the three-minute timer goes off.Fourth, if the comments reflect the opinion of friends, family, neighbors, etc. you can include those names and addresses on your submittal. The three minute rule still applies. Hope this helps.
