I always find it sad that politicians anywhere so often find a way to pass the buck. It is my job to stash away some acorns to keep myself fed and/or be able to sell them to get through more expensive times. Northampton County has no savings plan for the education of their children and the building where it takes place so we wait til there is a drastic problem and raise taxes. What a brilliant way to show the students fiscal irresponsibility. If our leaders didn’t learn anything at that school, how can we plan to lead the children to ? What speaks louder ? Actions or words ?

Oh, and I forgot to mention…….now that this election is over I would think it is the perfect time to glean the excess registered voters out of Northampton County records. What % just voted ? What is the plan to get the excess removed ?
Or did the excess all just vote and we like it that way ?

Clean up the voter rolls! Are you crazy!

I asked a local representative of the republican party just what is the procedure to clean up the list of eligible voters ? How can the registrar eliminate the name of the dead or moved or somehow ineligible names from the list of eligible voters ? I could hardly believe the response.
I was told the local registrar needs to mail a letter to the name on the list. If there is no response there needs to be a 2nd letter mailed. When there is no response to the 2nd letter the local registrar then needs to contact the central office of the state registrar. That registrar then sends a letter out and then if there is no response to that 3rd letter the person can be removed from the list.
Sounds rather antiquated to me, like a 3rd grader could create a better system. Let’s face it, very little contact takes place via USPS mail these days, yet that is the system ?
