Roberta Kellam Withdraws from Race

June 9, 2019 by Wayne Creed Leave a Comment

Roberta Kellam, candidate for Northampton District 4’s Board of Supervisor’s seat has withdrawn from the race. Kellam cited family health issues as the reason for leaving the race. Roberta Kellam issued the following statement:

“I regret to announce the withdrawal of my name for consideration for Northampton County District 4 Board of Supervisors. Family health care circumstances will require that I be off the Shore frequently during the upcoming campaign season. This responsibility will keep me from connecting with the residents of District 4 in the way they have a right to expect from their candidate. I am so grateful for all of the support I had so far, from those who signed my petition to qualify for the ballot to the friends and family who gave me words of encouragement, and I am sorry that I cannot continue my campaign.

I am hopeful that whomever becomes the next Supervisor of Northampton County District 4 will commit to protecting residential neighborhoods, improving public education, supporting the creation of living wage jobs, expanding broadband, and protecting our residents from the potential impacts of poultry house development.”
