Sea Breeze Apartments seeks Property Manager

June 10, 2018 by 2 Comments

Seabreeze Apartments, Part-time Affordable Housing Property Manager needed immediately to oversee a 28 unit complex with Project-based Section 8, and Rural Development administrative responsibilities.  Knowledge of these types of programs is preferred.  The Property Manager will handle all leasing, security, customer service, collections, bookkeeping and direction of the maintenance staff.  Pay commensurate with experience.   Please send resumes to Seabreeze Apartments, 201 Washington Ave, Cape Charles, VA 23310.  EOE

More details: Seabreeze Apartments lost their last manager at the end of January this year.  The former manager, Joy Pelletier agreed to come back to hire and train a new manager, but in the meantime, a HUD REAC inspection was scheduled.

REAC (Real Estate Assessment Center) schedules these inspections periodically, i.e. everyone two, or three years depending on the value of the previous inspection.  The goal of REAC is to help ensure the property is safe and decent  and to help identify fraud, abuse and waste of HUD resources.

Preparing for REAC inspections delayed hiring a new manager until the inspection was completed.

The inspection took place on May 25, 2018., and Sea Breeze passed. The next inspection may be three years from now.

This is a small complex; only 28 units.  A Property Manager experienced in HUD and USDA/Rural Development policies can easily handle this property on a part-time basis.  An on-site presence is required.
