Shore Animal of the Week

April 14, 2019 by Wayne Creed 3 Comments

Each week, the Mirror attempts to highlight dogs and cats that need to be found, or need to be fostered or adopted.

This week, we hope to find the owner of this dog.

If this is your dog or you know whose dog it is, PLEASE contact Robin VonHollen robinv@dogsdeservebetter.org. She needs your help in catching them and getting them to vet ASAP. The dog is hurt, and has a bad broken leg.

It looks like dog has been on the run for a while. The dog is running around the Northampton/ Accomack county line.

Update: The dog was last seen Friday morning crossing RT 13, heading towards the little community between J & M and Occ. Neck Road light.

I agree. Many thanks to the MIRROR for performing this good service every week. If the dog is ever captured, it should never be returned to whoever owned it, even if it ends up going to Animal Control. I have a number of rescued animals at my house, in-and-out dogs, mostly old beagles who were considered unadoptable. I have seen again and again, how appallingly many residents of Accomack and Northampton counties treat their animals.

My politics are on the far-right, and I practiced law for 35 years, but I applaud every liberal come-here who is able to steal an animal from an abusive local who neglects it.

Again, keep up the good work!

    Again,
