Study: Facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2

February 6, 2022 by 6 Comments

A recent Stanford study released by the NCBI, which is under the National Institutes of Health, showed that masks do absolutely nothing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and their use is even harmful.

Reader-submitted, Written by Baruch Vainshelboim – Cardiology Division, Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System/Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, United States

Did you hear about the peer-reviewed study done by Stanford University that demonstrates beyond a reasonable doubt that face masks have absolutely zero chance of preventing the spread of Covid-19? No? It was posted on the National Center for Biotechnological Information government website. The NCBI is a branch of the National Institute for Health, so one would think such a study would be widely reported by mainstream media and embraced by the “science-loving” folks in Big Tech.

Instead, a DuckDuckGo search reveals it was picked up by ZERO mainstream media outlets and Big Tech tyrants will suspend people who post it, as political strategist Steve Cortes learned the hard way when he posted a Tweet that went against the face mask narrative. The Tweet itself featured a quote and a link that prompted Twitter to suspend his account, potentially indefinitely.

The NCBI study begins with the following abstract:

Many countries across the globe utilized medical and non-medical facemasks as non-pharmaceutical intervention for reducing the transmission and infectivity of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). Although, scientific evidence supporting facemasks’ efficacy is lacking, adverse physiological, psychological and health effects are established. Is has been hypothesized that facemasks have compromised safety and efficacy profile and should be avoided from use. The current article comprehensively summarizes scientific evidences with respect to wearing facemasks in the COVID-19 era, providing prosper information for public health and decisions making

The existing scientific evidences challenge the safety and efficacy of wearing facemask as preventive intervention for COVID-19.

The data suggest that both medical and non-medical facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting against the usage of facemasks.

Wearing facemasks has been demonstrated to have substantial adverse physiological and psychological effects. These include hypoxia, hypercapnia, shortness of breath, increased acidity and toxicity, activation of fear and stress response, rise in stress hormones, immunosuppression, fatigue, headaches, decline in cognitive performance, predisposition for viral and infectious illnesses, chronic stress, anxiety and depression.

Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Governments, policy makers and health organizations should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks, when the latter is considered as preventive intervention for public health.

Governments should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks?

A nice idea, a sound idea, a good idea, but our “governments,” more like incipient dictatorships now thanks to COVID, are too stupid to even know what “science” is.

Too many syllables in there for them to be able to comprehend the meaning of the word.

Okayyyyy…and then there’s the big fat retraction of the “Facemasks in the Covid-19 era: A Health HYPOTHESIS” article. Good lord, does anyone actually read these days?

Why was it retracted?? Let’s see…it’s a hypothesis (go back to science class if you think that = fact), the author purported to be affiliated with Stanford but hadn’t been since 2016, among the most glaring flaws in this paper.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8114149/?report=reader

Reasons for the retractions (copied / pasted directly from the aforementioned link):

    1. A broader review of existing scientific evidence clearly shows that approved masks with correct certification, and worn in compliance with guidelines, are an effective prevention of COVID-19 transmission.

    2. The manuscript misquotes and selectively cites published papers. References #16, 17, 25 and 26 are all misquoted.

    3. Table 1. Physiological and Psychological Effects of Wearing Facemask and Their Potential Health Consequences, generated by the author. All data in the table is unverified, and there are several speculative statements.

    4. The author submitted that he is currently affiliated to Stanford University, and VA Palo Alto Health Care System. However, both institutions have confirmed that Dr Vainshelboim ended his connection with them in 2016.

A subsequent internal investigation by the Editor-in-Chief and the Publisher have determined that this article was externally peer reviewed but not with our customary standards of rigor prior to publication.
    ————————————-

Not stated, but another likely ENORMOUS reason is that they knew sorry souls who couldn’t read would flaunt it as evidence masks don’t work. SIGHHHHHH.

Ok, Melissa…..When. When will they work.
Wraps yourself in your chains and do not call yourself my fellow countryman.

Note: She’s really just a bot, they get paid $1 to troll the web for anything that might contradict the ‘narrative’. Sighhhhhh.

Why can’t you take your own word for anything, Melissa?

I do all the time and have been doing so for over seventy years now, with no real ill effects other than that time I got my **** pretty nearly blown away fighting in Democrat Lyndon Baines Johnson combination “WAR FOR THE SOUL OF AMERICA” and crusade to implant the state religion of democracy in VEET NAM, where they didn’t want it, LBJ or America.

That was the last time I listened to the lies of an American president or any of those puffed-up, flaming A-HOLES down in Washington, D.C., who have all become petty tyrants thanks to the power over us COVID has given them so they have us turning tricks like little circus dogs or train ed seals!

If wearing a mask is what your body tells you to do, and you trust yourself to be adult enough to make such decisions on your own, then by God, Melissa, this is America and I say go for it!

Put that mask on and be proud about it!

Show the world you are not afraid to go out in public wearing a mask.

Make a statement is what I say!

And don’t let the mockers and doubters out there interfere with your belief in your own judgment that wearing a mask is the right thing for you to do, keeping in mind and being thankful for all those veterans out there, living and deceased, who fought, bled and oftentimes died for your God-given right to wear your mask whenever you want, wherever you want, and don’t let nobody fool you or trick you into believing otherwise, and that is something you can take to the bank.
