DEI, stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a discipline, DEI is any policy or practice designed to make people of various backgrounds feel welcome and ensure they have support to perform to the fullest of their abilities in the workplace.
Whatever. Let’s face it, we all know this is propaganda and basically just more grift. At my alma mater, James Madison, I am embarrassed to report that DEI material for student orientation listed as “oppressors” Christians, whites, males, Western Europeans, and Americans.
C’mon, man.
Meanwhile, the same ones pushing this leftist trash are partially responsible for making college so expensive only the rich are actually able to barely afford it–the rest of y’all, say hello to student loan debt.
So, where does this stuff come from?
Let’s take a look at DEI positions and salaries at the much overrated University of Virginia. This data comes from the Virginia Association of Scholars report, “Should Virginians Pay for University ‘Diversity’ Leftism?”
According to the report, this is only a fraction of the total administrative costs imposed by the DEI bureaucracy. They do not include employee benefits, office space, travel & entertainment, engagement of outside consultants and speakers, or DEI-related tasks performed by staff and faculty with other job responsibilities.
Virginia is not alone, or even the worst culprit. Citizens in other states have also compiled data on university DEI expenditures, as well as on administrative bloat (Maine, Idaho, North Carolina, and Tennessee.) Leftist ideology and administrative bloat are harmful to real education and make college prohibitively expensive. Students and parents are the ones that have to cover these inflated costs. Schools and their elitist bureaucrats are enriched, while graduates and their families pay the bills.

Defies common sense. Defies belief. Defies rational thought.. So everyone can stop complaining about the cost of the U.S. Healthcare system. Those unsustainable presumedly, education costs are now found in the higher education commercial business budgets. Medical debt and related bankruptcies, are now being replaced by student debt, that are causing bankruptcies and Biden student loan forgiveness. All paid by the U.S. Taxpayer, while the education behemoths grow their tax exempt foundations, offering scholarships at the minimum. Common sense, fiscal responsibility and responsibility to students and their parents are no longer becoming a fabric component of the American way of life. Just another way to tax the poor and those not afforded the ‘diversified category’ in which they live and pursue their life’s goals.
Note: Right on.

I would not pay for another Human Being’s college education at gun point.
