The City of Seattle held a training session for white employees called “Interrupting Internalized Racial Superiority and Whiteness.”
This is exactly the kind of thought-policing the Left wants to implement everywhere.
First, diversity trainers informed white participants that “objectivity,” “individualism,” “intellectualization,” and “comfort” are all vestiges of internalized racial oppression.
Sometimes both sides of the coin are “oppression.” Are white employees speaking too much? That’s probably the internalized racial superiority of “imposition” or “paternalism.” Are white employees speaking too little? That’s oppression, too, because “silence” is “violence.”
The City of Seattle diversity trainers encourage white employees to “practice self-talk that affirms [their] complicity in racism” and work on “undoing your own whiteness.”
The trainers ask white employees to “let go” of “comfort,” “guaranteed physical safety,” “control over the land,” “social status,” and “relationships with some other white people.”
Then they go through a flow chart that outlines how white people “cause harm to POC,” “show up small and inauthentic,” and are unable to access their “humanity.”
In case some people are wondering if they’re “really white,” they pass out a datasheet called “Assimilation into Whiteness.” Are you of Arab, Jewish, Finnish, German, Italian, Armenian or Irish descent? You’re definitely white. No getting out of this.
As was first reported by Karen Borysenko, the invitation for this training was strictly segregated to “white City employees.” The goal is to teach them how they have “complicity in the system of white supremacy” and must be held “accountable to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.”
How do you know when you’ve successfully “interrupted your whiteness”? –When you “implicate yourself” in racism. –When “other white people may be angry.” –When you have stopped your “white normative behavior.”
Not only does this go against almost every HR policy in existence, it’s insane and stupid.
When you find something like this in your community, expose it, criticize it, mock it, and reject it.
Paul Plante says
In a word, this is complete BULL****!
And it goes back to at least 2016, when in a political gathering in Philadelphia on April 7th of that year, Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, known to history as a loser and “America’s Scold,” stated thusly as Democrat policy for all white people in America, to wit:
“If someone has white skin, they are a racist because of Implicit Bias, and we need community programs here in America to cure them.”
Obviously, like the Democrat-controlled sanctuary city of Albany, New York, where taxpayer money is spent on promoting BLACK LIVES MATTER in a city where, like Chicago and Atlanta, the blacks gun down each other for sport, because to them, black lives ain’t worth spit, and the white police officers were required to take courses on implicit bias, as well as being more sensitive to the needs of the black criminals in that city, Seattle is now jumping on that same bandwagon, which serves to give the illusion of scientific legitimacy to this Democrat party HORSE****, which takes us back to a CNN article entitled “Hillary Clinton talks race: ‘We all have implicit biases'” by Dan Merica on April 20, 2016, as follows:
Philadelphia (CNN) — Hillary Clinton bluntly assessed the state of race relations in the United States on Wednesday, telling a mostly African-American audience that racial bias is something that has been part of our “DNA going back probably millennia.”
end quotes
For those unfamiliar with the term, “millenia” is the plural of “millennium,” which a period of a thousand years.
So the airheaded pandering Hillary, who speaks without having a clue as to what she is speaking about, no more than does Polly Parrot asking for a cracker, is saying that “racial bias” goes back thousands of years, and if that is the case, then she has to be referring to these words of the hate-filled little sack of pus Alvin “Peanuts” Sharpton, to wit:
“We built pyramids before Donald Trump even knew what architecture was.”
“We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.”
“Do some cracker come and tell you, ‘Well my mother and father blood go back to the Mayflower,’ you better hold your pocket.”
“That ain’t nothing to be proud of, that means their forefathers was crooks.”
end quotes
There, people, is the real racial bias, staring us right in the face there from someone who was a welcome guest at the Obama White House, which takes us to a thoughtful Opinion piece in the Jackson Sun by Walter E. Williams, a black man who is a professor of economics at George Mason University, on Jan. 7, 2015, entitled “Al Sharpton’s racial slurs get overlooked,” where we were informed as follows:
Hardly anyone blinks an eye at the Rev. Al Sharpton’s racist statements, such as: “White folks was in the caves while we (blacks) was building empires. … We built pyramids before Donald Trump ever knew what architecture was. … We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.”
Despite such racism, President Barack Obama has made Sharpton his go-to guy on matters of race.
But not to worry. Obama himself spent 20 years listening to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s anti-Semitic and racist sermons.
The news media and intellectual elite don’t condemn Sharpton or Obama, because they have two standards of behavior: one for whites and a lower one for blacks.
Multiethnic societies are inherently unstable, and how we handle matters of race is contributing to that instability.
Decent Americans should see the dangers posed by America’s race hustlers, who are stacking up piles of combustible racial kindling, ready for a racial arsonist to set it ablaze.
end quotes
Quite obviously, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats failed to hear that message, which takes us back to a New York Post entitled “Hillary Clinton sings Al Sharpton’s praises” by Carl Campanile on April 14, 2016, wherein was stated as follows regarding the undying love and affection Hillary feels for Al, to wit:
Hillary Clinton effusively praised the Rev. Al Sharpton during a speech at the civil rights leader’s National Action Network conference Wednesday.
Clinton also grabbed the attention of churchgoers in the audience by quoting Scripture.
“‘Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’ . . . This organization has not grown weary,” she said.
When Clinton finished her 30-minute speech, Sharpton, who has known her for 20 years, quipped, “Reverend Hillary Clinton!”
end quotes
Reverend Hillary, indeed, and her effusive praise for “Peanuts” back then certainly was a strong indication that Hillary bought into Al’s theories about race, which takes us back to the CNN article, to wit:
“We all have implicit biases,” Clinton said at St. Paul’s Baptist Church.
“What we need to do is be more honest about that and surface them.”
“Because today, most people believe that they don’t have those biases.”
end quotes
So today, the Democrats are going to force us to have to believe we have those biases, as we are reading in this above article.
Getting back to CNN and the genesis of this HOG****:
Clinton, a candidate running to be the first person to succeed the first black president of the United States, has talked about race throughout her campaign, acknowledging what she regularly calls “deep seeded racism” that plagues the United States.
“We have to be honest about the systemic racism and that particularly is the responsibility of white people, not just people in public life, but all of us, who have to keep trying to put ourselves in the position of what goes through the minds and hearts of so many people in our country who know they aren’t getting a fair shake,” Clinton said.
“They are not being treated equally and we can’t assume that our experience is somehow enough to guide us.”
“We have to be open and listening and then responsive.”
end quotes
And quite obviously, Seattle has heard Hillary loud and clear as this totally unscientific BULL**** becomes legitimized and main-stream in Democrat-controlled America!
Kearn SCHEMM says
It seems to me that the employees that were subjected to this “training” should find a good civil rights lawyer and file suit in federal court against the city. This is a disgrace.
Paul Plante says
This is thought control, plain and simple, for morons, for you would need to be a moron to believe and of this!
Good-bye to freedom of thought and expression!
You SHALL think as you are told to think, and that is that.
Anybody who buys into this ridiculous BULL**** doesn’t need a good lawyer; they need a good psychiatrist.
What would be most interesting is to track this back to who is peddling this HORSE****, who the contactor is that teaches this PIG****, as well as who is developing these courses in ignorance and stupidity.
Follow the money!
Ray Otton says
White supremacy is the new homophobia, meant as a tactic of intimidation and manipulation.
The term homophobia traces back to Dr. Weinberg, a psychotherapist who, in the mid-60s’ observed the discomfort that some of his colleagues exhibited around gay men and women.
In the 21st century the term became weaponized, used as a weapon in the culture wars:
– If you opposed same-sex “marriage,” you were a homophobe.
– If you believed a child deserved a mother and a father, you were a homophobe.
– If you affirmed the teachings of the Bible, you were a homophobe.
– If you were a homophobe you were also a bigot, a hater, a bad person, even a Nazi.
It’s the same today with the terms white supremacist.
Initially, used to describe people who openly believed in the supremacy of the white race, they were slave traders, segregationists and the Democrat Party’s militant faction, the KKK.
BTW, white supremacists are also anti-semites, Holocaust deniers and Nazis.
White supremacy is ugly, bad and no decent, fair-minded would want to be called a white supremacist. That’s why the term, just like homophobe, have been weaponized today.
For example:
– If you are a Trump supporter, you are a white supremacist.
– If you differ with any part of the BLM movement, you are a white supremacist.
– If you resist the mob, you are a white supremacist.
– If you don’t believe in reparations, you are a white supremacist.
– If you don’t agree with tearing down statutes of Washington and Jefferson, you’re a white supremacist.
– If you are a white Christian conservative you are a white supremacist.
– If you do not believe that America today is a white supremacist nation, then you are a white supremacist. Your very denial of white supremacy is proof that you are a white supremacist. Whoooo, heck of a Catch-22 there.
The logic is rock solid, no?
I mean, once you label your opponent a white supremacist you’re only a step away from the Nazi label. And once someone is a Nazi it’s perfectly fine to punch them in the mouth.
And that’s how far down the slope our national discussion about race has descended. All due to Leftist Democrats’ propensity for violence against perfectly normal Americans who hold different political views.

Need to see underlying behavioral research supporting these assumptions. Probably understand some guidance and disagree with others.

Yeah, here’s where you can start –

Not a lot of parsing to be done, not a lot of gray area. It’s pretty clear they HATE us and have no problem acting on that hate.
Now, if you want to discuss how it got that way, that might be something worth researching.
Might be worth researching how this type of behavior ends, too.
Vito Rossi says
I am just so tired of all the hate and destruction then blaming it all on white people and calling it white privilege. Housing projects were built for both black and white by white people but if you have ever seen one after being occupied only one race destroys it. Go to any large city and tell me who lives in the area of burned out garbage ridden destroyed neighborhoods. I have black friends that are happy to work and own a home just like white people but then there are the ones that have been groomed by the democrats to destroy and act oppressed. The killing of George Floyd was wrong but because of one guys actions all white people should pay? I look at the sports figures that have million dollar contracts and ask “where is the oppression?” I look at music with multi-millionaires that are black and ask “where is the oppression?” Seems to me the black people have the same ability as any white person to succeed if they choose but many would rather play the victim and place blame on us white people that pay for their destruction. Why do black celebrities always side with the people that claim to be oppressed instead of telling them they have the same opportunities? Racism will never change because some people will always claim to be victims instead of helping themselves because it’s easier.

A seventy percent illegitimacy rate, an equally egregious school dropout rate, functional illiteracy and unemployability, failed parenting and families, and grossly disproportional criminality–that’s Black America! No surprise, here he’s just another example of the totally dysfunctional 13%!

I would love to know to name of these trainers. I need them to come and teach me why my mother picked cotton and my Irish ancestors were slaves and I had a 10000 unmet need and was unable to finish college and had to take crappy jobs. Everything I worked for I earned just like a professional basketball player or black professional business man. Racism is when you focus on the color stop focusing on the color. If they had never gotten to America however they did they would not have the opportunities that they have today. I appreciate my Irish ancestor slaves for what they did for me to be free. The freedom of the USA is based on the blood of our American soldiers which is why we are all here today. Appreciate the history of our country and where we came from and where we are today. I will never be repaid for the treatment of my ancestors and my mom. I can only make myself a better person for today. That is white person because I’m white. I will never be ashamed of who I am or where I came from and I would love to meet these teachers that think they can make me ashamed of my color. I am no more ashamed of my color than any other person is. My color has not afforded me any extra opportunities. If anything it has kept me from getting jobs.
