An appeal to an HDRB decision was denied by Town Council by a 4-2 vote. The appeal was brought by the owner of the historic Parsons Building on Front Street.
The application has gone back and forth on numerous occasions, with the applicant essentially wanting to change the storefront of the building.
While the Board has worked to give the applicant some latitude with the building, maintaining the original look of the storefront was considered a priority.
Given the nature of building as one of the original contributing structures, the majority of Town Council agreed with HDRB, and upheld the decision.

Fig Street? Isn’t the Parsons building on Mason Avenue aka Front Street?

Good to see the oversight has been corrected.
