The Town currently has vacancies on the Board of Zoning Appeals, the Historic District Review Board and the Library Board.
The Board of Zoning Appeals hears zoning appeals and reviews variance and special exception application and meets as needed. The BZA consists of five members each serving five-year terms.
The purpose of the Historic District Review Board is “to preserve and protect historic places and areas in the Town through the control of demolition of such places and through the regulation of architectural design and uses of structures in such areas.” The HDRB consists of five members each serving five-year terms.
The Library Board oversees the Cape Charles Memorial Library and meets monthly on the second Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. The Board consists of seven members each serving four-year terms.
If you live in the Town and are interested in serving on either board, or any other board, please complete the Application for Boards and Commission and return it to Town Clerk Libby Hume at 2 Plum Street, Cape Charles, VA 23310 or email it to clerk@capecharles.org.
Once applications are collected, interviews will be scheduled with the Town Council to fill the vacancies.

Is this a misprint? Is there a vacancy on the Harbor District Review Board?
