I remember my Dad going into Watson’s and chatting for hours while me and my Sisters played and sat in the front and drinking RC colas. And eating sugar babies. My Dad and Step Mom lived in Eastville. He used to take us to The village of Oyster as well, I even have some old pics! Wow, what beautiful memories, I will always treasure!

Sad to see such a treasure departing. No more Christmas carols around the wood stove, pecans in the barrel, and any item you can imagine somewhere in the store! A huge part of what gave Cape Charles charm, not to mention convenience and geniality.

I worked for Watters and Martin inside sales. They were a good account.

It was a great hardware store,it was like the twilight zone of hardware stores, you never know what you would find there.I went to cherrystone camping ground ,for year’s.But I always like to go into this store,8 track tapes, that never have open, just a cool store,in general.I wished I had something to remember this store bye.My son was a kid, when we went there, now he grown up,he told me,it had been sold.I was down there a couple years ago.My grandson went in that store,he even like it
