Need more activities for the teens and young adults to do and to interact with each other

So maybe a game room or a lounge area

We desperately need an urgent care or some form of “doc-in-the-box. I thought we were promised that when the hospital moved, one of the medical centers, Riverside or Bayview would have Saturday hours. I don’t think enough people know that your only option for medical services is to travel across the bridge or drive the 37 miles to the hospital. Not only is this a necessary service for residents but also for tourists.

Riverside has Saturday hours in CC the first Saturday of each month, and all the other Saturdays in Nassawadox. Much closer than the hospital.

This is the time that will define the future of Cape Charles. Grow but grow slowly and with purpose.
The decisions you make today will affect generations to come including your children and grandchildren. Keep that in mind. Choose wisely.

A taco joint where you can grab quick tacos and take them to the beach.
Also a nicer mexican fusion restaurant with a roof top bar.
    A deli.

I didn’t come to Cape Charles for the @#%&@ stores or the reverse parking (that screws up the flow of traffic)! I came here for the hometown feel. The bed & breakfast and the ability to enjoy myself at the man made beach, (without crowds). Which all seems to be eroding away since the business district grew. Ask yourself, why are the local businesses selling and leaving?
The county needs to support its fisherman and farmers, because this is our natural resources. Maybe the county supervisors should learn from the best hardware/lumber business around “Northampton county lumber”. They been around since the 1880s! They must be doing something right.
No more taco businesses, hell they are open one year and gone the next.
What the county needs is a medical service on this end. Better grocery stores with a better customer service. How about teaching high school students a skill for local businesses. There is a lot of potential for young adults here, they just need some support. For entertainment, a bowling alley would be great.
I like the music festivals in town.
If I said some things that upset afew people, sorry Buttercups. It’s the way I see it. And No I’m not a local, born and raised in Princess Anne county (that’s Virginia beach, before county supervisors screwed it up).

What Cape Charles truly needs to do to steal a march on every other beachfront community that it is in stiff competition with, not only here, but in a lot of foreign places as well, like Majorca, is to be the first beachfront community in America to become a carbon-free destination for weddings, gay or otherwise, which gives the town a very wholesome image that will appeal to people all over the world looking for a carbon-free environment to have their wedding in, because who would want it any other way?

Why go somewhere where there is carbon pollution in the air, when there is a carbon-free alternative like Cape Charles with is natural charm.

The ESVA needs INDUSTRY….Something to employ people………which will give the local stores customers……

Gee, if only you all could have gotten a oh I don’t know STATE PRISON you’d have that economic engine that would predicate the creation of a medical center(because money) which would increase the level of employed professionals pouring their salaries back into the area, which would create the demand for some sort of local recreational establishment(gee, it’d be nice if WALMART wasn’t the only place to go on Saturday night) which would throw off…..well, you may get what I’m saying by now.

eh, what do I know, I’m just a former Come Here.

I’d like to see a recreation facility with multi purpose uses such as:

    Pool
    Meeting rooms
    Day care for needy
    Exercise equipment

So you want to raise taxes to pay for that, making the area LESS attractive to people moving in?

Or, OR you can use the many churches, civic organizations or even the library to meet.

There are gyms for exercise equipment. Ones the NEEDY and the Elderly won’t be taxed for.

And out of decorum I will not relate my thoughts on ‘day care for the needy”.

The easiest and cheapest thing that would instantly be beneficial is an Amazon Locker.

Put one at the Food Lion and/or another one in town.

It’s absolutely needed, would be used all the time, and is pretty much a no brainer.

If Northam can lure Amazon HQ2 to NoVA, somebody can get 1-2 lockers dropped off in Northampton County and Cape Charles.
