Can’t decide if the least surprising aspect of the Hunter Biden story is the behavior of the media, big tech, China, or Hunter Biden himself.
A little late to the party, but old news that Hunter Biden was under federal investigation has suddenly hit a nerve, and the media, that ignored it before the election, now seem very interested. CNN and Politico put out reports actually saying that Hunter Biden’s issues were worse than his father’s transition team statement led on. Justice Department’s interest in Hunter Biden covered more than taxes; investigation also looked at foreign ties, possible money laundering.
Why now? We’ve known since late October that Hunter Biden was under investigation, yet no mainstream media outlet reported it. The Mirror ran several stories in October. This story, if reported in a timely manner, could have cost Joe Biden the election. We know about the censorship of the New York Post, but it wasn’t just that. News outlets also actively tried to discredit the story despite having no evidence it was false and ample evidence it was true.
Everything the New York post reported was true but banned by Twitter, Facebook, and nearly all mainstream media as “misinformation” because it was before an election. Literally NPR called it a “waste of time” and a “conspiracy.”
Here are is how NPR handled the story in October:
Here’s how the reported it this week:
And from the Washington Post, where truth dies in darkness:
Why was this story quashed when it came out? Why did Twitter and Facebook kick the NY Post off the platform when they tried to report it?
Because news of this corruption would have taken Joe Biden down. The margins in the swing states were tiny. A small shift in the suburban vote and President Trump would have been re-elected straight up, to where not even illegal votes would have mattered.
A Media Research Center poll showed 45% of Biden voters were unaware of the Hunter Biden story and 9.4% said it would have changed their vote.
FBI also stopped investigating Hunter Biden while Joe Biden was running for president:
C.T. Parks says
‘FBI also stopped investigating Hunter Biden while Joe Biden was running for president:” I think you mean the Justice Department stopped the investigation, the one lead by the man hand-picked by Trump.
Tell me, if your son or daughter is under investigation of a crime are you implicit in the crime too? Since you all keep screaming about “your rights” how about his right to Due Process? Oh right, it YOUR rights and not about anyone else’s.
Next, we should be reading in the Mirror – Hitler is still alive in Brazil and running a German sausage factory.
MJM says
C.T, If your son or daughter is under investigation for robbing a bank, and you drove the car, you most certainly are arrested and under investigation with them. If a bank teller is killed during the commission of the crime, you, as the driver, are also charged with the killing. Please ask any local deputy sheriff and they will certainly tell you so. Hunter Biden flew overseas with Papa Joe Biden on Air Force 2. Joe Biden admitted it. So Joe drove the car and also abused the power and influence of his office to do so. It’s all on tape. Joe Biden is seen on recorded tape gleefully declaring his muscle used to influence the entire situation, and later he tries to deny it when another partner in the creation of the crimes also discusses it all in public. This is a terrible time to have to face these things no matter what party we like to align ourselves with.
Additionally, National Public Radio and T.V. have become very partisan media outlets and should have their news department disbanded unless they start daily producing both sides to the political news stories. Our tax dollars should not solely be paying for one partisan side.
C. T. Parks says
Hey MJM, I’ll give you an “A” for effort but nope. He didn’t rob a bank so your example is comparing an apple to an orange, it’s a tax evasion investigation. I don’t think Poppa is/was his tax accountant, so you want to explain to me how Joe Biden is somehow responsible?
What would both sides of this story be, that is based on fact? He was paid x amount of dollars, Dad had nothing to do with it (it’s been investigated) apparently, he didn’t pay the appropriate amount of tax on it – end of story. What else are you looking for? Wishing, hoping doesn’t make it true. Trump lost. Life will get better shortly. Hey, remember “if you vote Biden the markets will crash” Yeah, it didn’t the opposite and reached highs. lol
Paul Plante says
“Corn Pop” Biden is going to make America great again!
C T Parks says
Well Mr Plante, since Trump didn’t make America Great Again maybe Biden can make America Respectable Again.
Paul Plante says
In a republic of, by and for the people, as opposed to a dictatorship, or a depotism, or a tyranny, it is the people, each and every one of them, and all of them collectively who either make a country great or make it into a crap hole.
A people who have to depend on one man to make their country great or respectable are a pathetic people, and where the word “respectable” means “regarded by society to be good, proper, or correct,” with his prior record, how are you seeing “Corn Pop” Biden making that happen?
And for the record, I am neither a Democrat or a Republican, so I am not a disgruntled Trump supporter.
Paul Plante says
With all due respect to yourself, C T Parks, and no offense intended, because you seem nice otherwise, you appear from your comment above to be what people call a shallow, short-term thinker with a very short attention span, because you seem to think Joe “Corn Pop” Biden is something new on the political scene, when in fact, if you look at real American history, “Corn Pop” Biden is old news, and quite stale old news at that.
Think back to 2016 – Hillary was Hussein Obama’s chosen successor, and what happened to her?
We ended up with Trump, because people did not want four more years of Obama.
And now instead of going forward, we are going backwards.
And that thought takes us to a Yahoo News article entitled “Joe Biden, now president-elect, declares it is ‘time to heal in America'” by David Knowles, Brittany Shepherd and Hunter Walker on November 7, 2020, as follows:
In his first speech as president-elect on Saturday, Joe Biden said he hoped to unify the nation after an especially bitter campaign with President Trump, who has so far refused to concede defeat in the race.
end quotes
Now, when I read that part about “Corn Pop” saying he hoped to “unify” the nation, my first thought was, yeah, right, “Corn Pop,” and how do you propose to do that after working so hard to divide it?
Does “Corn Pop” plan to apologize to all those people in America he previously called the “dregs of society” as in The Daily Wire story “Joe Biden Calls Trump Supporters ‘Virulent People,’ The ‘Dregs Of Society'” by Joseph Curl on September 17, 2018, as follows:
Joe Biden just had his “deplorables” moment.
Biden, who says he’ll decided in January whether to run for president in 2020 but who is making all the moves of a presidential candidate, used a pro-LGBT Human Rights Campaign annual dinner on Saturday to rip President Trump.
And in so doing, Biden had a moment reminiscent of Hillary Clinton, when she called Trump supporters “deplorables.”
Biden did his old act, starting off soft and avuncular before booming through his power points, punching the air and flailing about.
“Despite losing in the courts, and in the court of opinion, these forces of intolerance remain determined to undermine and roll back the progress you all have made,” he said.
“This time they — not you — have an ally in the White House.”
“This time they have an ally.”
“They’re a small percentage of the American people — virulent people, some of them the dregs of society.”
“God forgive me,” he added, making the sign of the cross as the audience applauded.
“Our work is not yet done by any stretch of the imagination.”
“The stakes are much too high.”
And then he went even further. “This is deadly earnest, we are in a fight for America’s soul,” Biden said.
end quotes
So what now does “Corn Pop” plan to do with those “forces of intolerance,” those virulent people, some of them the dregs of society?
If he is going to unify the nation, where does he envision those forces of intolerance, those virulent people, some of them the dregs of society, fitting into his scheme?
Or is he going to pull a Lenin or Stalin act and simply eliminate them from society to clear the path for the better world “Corn Pop” Biden is promising to those who are his followers?
Getting back to the Yahoo News article while we wait for that answer from Team “Corn Pop,” it continues as follows:
The former vice president repeatedly sought to reinforce his message during the campaign that he would seek to be a president for all Americans, regardless of whether they had voted for him.
end quotes
He would “seek” to be a president for all Americans?
What the **** is that?
Doesn’t the Constitution make it incandescently clear that the president is supposed to be the president for all Americans by taking care that OUR laws be faithfully executed?
So what is up with this talk of “seeking,” which is defined as an attempt or desire to obtain or achieve something?
If “Corn Pop” has to “seek” to be a president for all Americans, then in my estimation as an American citizen, he is not fit to be the president of a free people.
Getting back to the story:
“I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but unify.”
end quotes
All well and good, “Corn Pop,” but dude, by calling American citizens dregs of society, you were seeking to divide us for partisan political gain for yourself and the Democrat party, which represents only a third of the American people at best, so how can you now possibly unite us, those of us in the 70% who never were Democrats and don’t want to be?
Getting back to it one more time, we have:
“We need to stop treating our opponents as our enemies,” Biden told the crowd.
“They’re not our enemies.”
“They’re Americans.”
end quotes
Yes, “Corn Pop,” they are Americans, aren’t they.
And they were Americans when you called them “dregs of society,” and you encouraged your followers to treat them as enemies.
So when you tell us, “This is the time to heal in America,” what now is your plan for doing so?
The candid world that watches and waits would like to know!

I was thinking; We should stop calling them all ‘Entitlements’. Welfare, Food Stamps, WIC, ad nausea are not Entitlements. They are taxpayer-funded handouts and shouldn’t be called Entitlements at all. But, Social Security and Veterans Benefits are Entitlements because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.

Why do they tell us even though all involved are Muslims, you can be assured that the ‘Lone Wolf’ attack has nothing at all to do with Islam, just like the other 1,000-plus ‘Lone Wolf’ attacks by Muslims, are completely unassociated with Islam?
I was thinking; Why is each ISIS attack now a reaction to Trump policies, but all ISIS attacks during Obama’s term were due to Climate Change and a plea for jobs?

I was thinking; If Democrats don’t want foreigners involved in our elections, why do they think it’s all right for illegals to vote?

I was thinking; Why is it that Democrats think Super delegates are fine, but they have a problem with the Electoral College?
I was thinking; If Donald Trump deleted all of his emails, wiped his server with Bleachbit and destroyed all of his phones with a hammer, would the Mainstream Media suddenly lose all interest in the story and declare him innocent?

Whether it’s you Wayne or some other juvenile jumping all over someone’s nic you’re concept of free speech here in the Mirror seems to fail the test.
My question to you is what are YOU going to do about it and how are you going to stop me
Note: Only 2/3 of all comments ever make through moderation. We let C.T. go for a while, but when it starts to degenerate we usually pull the pin. But, we have let folks continue comment if they can stay on point. and CT will probably be back on sometime. Since the burden (expense) of running this thing, the time involved, we also assume the task of moderation, and sometimes responses, as is the case here. As I have said before, if anyone else wants to take over this platform and do it better, it’s theirs. Please take it. They just have to assume all the expenses (we do not accept fees for advertising), as well as being responsible for the content, and moderating the comments section. We do have the ability to turn off comments, so if you’re worried about the concept of free speech, well…
Paul Plante says
When someone owns a venue like the Cape Charles Mirror, that someone, whomever they may be, is responsible for the content posted on that venue, and like any editor, whomever owns the site gets to edit out that content they do no desire to have posted on their site, which can be considered private property open by invitation to the public.
There is no such thing as free speech in any “news” venue or venue like the Cape Charles Mirror, and there hasn’t been since the first days of this nation as a nation.
And since this is Wayne Creed’s forum, it is his choice as to what people will read in here, and what will not be posted in here.
This is HIS intellectual property.
HIS creation ….
Thus, he has the right to guide that creation in the direction that he wishes it to be taken in.
The concept of free speech plays absolutely no role in that, at all.
Paul Plante says
The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves.
That is language taken directly from Section 1 of Article. II of the United States Constitution, and so, should be law of the land binding on each and every American citizen, including “Corn Pop” Biden and Kamala Harris and whomever the members of the electoral college are in any given presidential election year such as 2020.
But to my knowledge, that never happened.
To my knowledge, they simply rubber-stamped the popular vote and handed the presidency to “Corn Pop,” as opposed to abiding by our Constitution, which takes us to an NPR article entitled “Who Are Electors And How Do They Get Picked?” by Domenico Montanaro on December 14, 2020, where we have as follows on that subject:
Another official move in America’s sometimes-convoluted presidential election process takes place Monday as the electors of the Electoral College cast their votes.
It’s one of the final steps in picking a president, but who are these electors and how do they get selected?
It begins and ends with loyalty — loyalty to state and national parties.
That in part is how the candidates are all but guaranteed to have the electors’ votes match the ballots cast by regular people in general election voting in each state.
end quotes
So in fact, the election is indeed rigged.
The Constitution says one thing as LAW OF THE LAND, but the political parties say **** that, we’ll do it the way we want because there is nothing anyone can do about it, which is the truth, because our Constitution is a big ******* joke when it comes to things like the election of presidents, so easily are the Constitutional provisions for the electoral college by-passed, which takes us back to the NPR article, as follows:
How electors get picked varies by state, but in general state parties file slates of names for who the electors will be.
They include people with ties to those state parties, like current and former party officials, state lawmakers and party activists.
They’re selected either at state party conventions or by party central committees.
Each presidential candidate gets their own unique list of names on their slates.
end quotes
So, contrary to the intent of the Constitution, those electors are not looking out for the good of the nation; they are there to do the will of the party.
Which in turn takes us to a POLITICO article entitled “‘Democracy prevailed’: Biden urges unity as he condemns efforts to overturn election” by Matthew Choi on 12/14/2020, as follows:
As the Electoral College officially affirmed Joe Biden’s victory, the president-elect took the stage Monday to laud the resilience of the electoral process while condemning an “unprecedented assault on our democracy.”
end quotes
An “unprecedented assault on our democracy?”
My goodness, people, where did that happen?
And when?
Who did it?
And how come we’re just hearing about it now?
Was “Corn Pop” trying to protect us from getting scared which would make us feel bad about ourselves by not telling us about this “unprecedented assault on our democracy?”
Did he think we couldn’t handle the truth?
Getting back to that article, it proceeds further into LA-LA LAND city limits, as follows:
“In this battle for the soul of America, democracy prevailed,” Biden said.
end quotes
HUH?
In this battle for the soul of America, democracy prevailed?
What battle for the soul of America?
Where the hell have I been that I am missing all these things?
You would think that if there had been an actual battle for the “soul of America,” which sounds very much like a “possession” from the way “Corn Pop” Biden is talking about it, that it would have been on the news, or something, anyway, and yet, I never heard about it!
So what is up with that?
Is that just something “Corn Pop” Biden is pulling out of his ***, this so-called “battle for the soul” of America where democracy prevailed?
And my goodness, what did democracy prevail over in this battle?
The COMMIES?
Getting back to that POLITICO article as we search for further clarification, we have:
“We the People voted.”
end quotes
Did we?
Or was it more clearly and actually the case that only some of “We the People” actually voted for “Corn Pop,” while the rest, a clear majority, rejected “Corn Pop” by not voting for him?
According to statistics, “Corn Pop” Biden got over 81 million votes.
However, if one considers the pool of those eligible to vote, all Americans over the age of 18, one finds that pool contains some 209,128,094 potential voters, so that if one does the math, divide 81 million by 209,128,094, one finds that only 38.73 percent of We, the People actually voted for “Corn Pop,” so it is hardly decisive, his victory, which takes us back to POLITICO once again, as follows:
“Faith in our institutions held.”
end quotes
And that is pure BULL**** flowing forth from out the mouth of “Corn Pop” because the last thing this election did was to restore any faith in our “institutions,” and only someone out of touch with reality and the mood of the American people would make such an outrageous and outlandish statement.
Getting back to POLITICO:
“The integrity of our elections remains intact.”
end quotes
In your dreams, Joe!
Which takes us back to POLITICO as follows:
“And so, now it is time to turn the page.”
“To unite.”
“To heal.”
end quotes
Oh, really, Joe?
It’s time to unite?
It’s time to heal?
And what page is it that you want us to turn here, and why?
Are you talking about that time you called American citizens the “dregs of society?”
And you want us to what?
Pretend you never said it?
Forget you ever said it?
Or are you going to do the right thing and stand up and apologize to those people for insulting them and writing them off as human beings because they didn’t support you as was the case with the 128,128,094 Americans who didn’t vote for you?
Which thought takes us back to POLITICO, as follows:
“We saw something very few predicted, even thought possible: The biggest voter turnout in the history of the United States of America.”
“A number so big that this election now ranks as the clearest demonstration of the true will of the American people,” Biden said.
“It should be celebrated, not attacked.”
end quotes
Except it’s not.
It’s the will of just 38.73 percent of the American people.
It is not the will of 61.27 percent of the American people, so there is hardly anything democratic about it at all, and thus, it is hardly something to be celebrated – it is something to be sorry about, instead!
