CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Bluegrass fans from across the Eastern Shore and beyond will gather in Cape Charles on June 13 for the annual Bluegrass and Sunset Festival, an event that combines nationally recognized performers, regional talent and waterfront charm.
This year’s festival lineup is headlined by Junior Brown, known for his distinctive “guit-steel” instrument and blend of country, rock and bluegrass influences. Joining him are The Travelin’ McCourys, one of the most acclaimed touring bluegrass groups in the country.
Festival organizers will also welcome hosts Tim and Savannah Finch and the Eastman String Band, along with performances by The String Buzzards and additional artists expected to be announced.
The event has become a popular summer tradition in Cape Charles, drawing visitors to Virginia’s Eastern Shore for a full day of live music, community gathering and Chesapeake Bay sunsets. Organizers say the festival aims to celebrate both traditional and contemporary bluegrass while showcasing Cape Charles as a destination for arts, culture and outdoor recreation.
