The Capital Projects team held a kick-off meeting with HBA, the firm in charge of the project to evaluate options for improved town office spaces. The town and HBA are in the process of first scheduling an assessment of the current state of the Municipal building on 14 Plum, and the Cape Charles Library. A proposal to add Phase 1 an Environmental Site Assessment and wetlands assessment to the contract is also in the works and should appear on the Town Council Regular Meeting docket soon.
The staff met with Shanty management to evaluate options for running a new sewer lateral system.
Staff also met with VDOT Hampton Roads District Engineer which approved the revised plans for Phase 3 of the Multi-use Trails. The town continues to engage with Land Studio to finalize changes to the plans.
