CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Cape Charles Christian School is offering a new tuition discount program for the 2026-27 school year aimed at supporting families who serve their communities as first responders and members of the military.
Under the program, eligible families can receive a $1,000 tuition discount if a parent serves as a police officer, EMT, paramedic, firefighter, or active-duty member of the military. School officials note that firefighters must have verifiable licensure or certification confirmed by their fire chief, and proof of service may be required for all applicants.
The initiative is intended as a gesture of appreciation for the men and women who dedicate their careers to public safety, emergency response, and national defense. By reducing the cost of tuition, the school hopes to make Christian education more accessible to families whose work often involves long hours, personal sacrifice, and service to others.
First responders and military personnel play a critical role throughout the Eastern Shore, including in Cape Charles and Northampton County, where police officers, volunteer and career firefighters, EMS providers, and Coast Guard members help protect residents and visitors year-round.
