CAPE CHARLES, Va.— The Cape Charles Code Official has released an activity report for October, detailing inspections, permits issued, and ongoing coordination on development projects around town, including new homes and environmental concerns.
During October, the Code Official performed 36 inspections and issued 20 permits. However, there were no rental inspection applications processed, nor rental inspections conducted.
The Code Official coordinated with the Zoning Administrator on various ongoing projects, demonstrating a collaborative approach to ensuring that new developments comply with town regulations. In Bayside Village II, plans for multiple new homes were reviewed, resulting in issued permits for two homes, with additional permits expected soon for other properties in both Bayside Village II and Muirfield Village. Another set of plans for a new home in Bayside Village II has been submitted and will be reviewed in the coming days.
Additionally, the Code Official reported receiving numerous complaints from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) regarding Village J and Village F-1 in the Bay Creek area. The concerns, which have not been specified in detail, are being addressed through ongoing follow-up to ensure that environmental standards are upheld.
It would be wonderful to know the details of the environmental concerns
