CAPE CHARLES, Va. — Town leaders and community stakeholders gathered March 12 for a “stay-here” strategic planning retreat aimed at shaping priorities for the year ahead.
The session brought together members of the Town Council, Planning Commission, and representatives from the Civic League, Main Street, and Citizens for Central Park. Participants reviewed last year’s Council Priority List, evaluated current strategic goals, and refined objectives moving forward.
The group also examined feedback from the recent Community Survey, identifying potential action items and helping establish preliminary priorities for 2027.
Town officials said the results of the retreat are now being compiled into a comprehensive report, which is expected to be presented to the Council for review and approval in April. The effort is part of an ongoing initiative to align local planning efforts with community input and long-term development goals.

Do your homework Wayne, they got very little participation in that survey from people that actually live here! If my memory is correct only 3%. Their friends and family that don’t even live here were the majority that competed it. I heard these facts stated at the town meeting.
If you don’t like it, please leave.
Even you don’t even live here Cherri. You just fraudulently rent a place here.
