Cape Charles, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles is now accepting bids for the construction of a new municipal building, marking a significant step in the town’s ongoing infrastructure development efforts.
Sealed bids will be received at Cape Charles Town Hall, located at 412 Tazewell Avenue, until 11:00 a.m. local time on May 22, 2026. At that time, all submitted bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Interested contractors can obtain the official Invitation for Bid (IFB) package through the town’s website under the “Bid Opportunities” section or by picking up a copy in person at Town Hall.
Town officials emphasized that all bids must be submitted before the deadline. Any submissions received after the specified closing time will be returned unopened. The town also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in the bidding process.
The planned municipal building project is expected to play a key role in supporting Cape Charles’ administrative operations and future growth.
