CAPE CHARLES, Va. — On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., residents of Cape Charles will have the opportunity to meet three local candidates at a special “Meet and Greet” event. Hosted at the Cape Charles Coffee Shop on Mason Avenue, the event promises food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere for attendees to engage with the candidates one-on-one.
The candidates, Andy Buckholtz, Ed Wells, and Mark Usry, have each called Cape Charles home for over 20 years. All three have played active roles in the town’s significant growth and development. The event is designed to give residents a chance to discover the candidates’ individual visions and passion for the continued success of Cape Charles.
Sponsored by Malcolm Hayward, the event aims to foster community engagement and provide an informal setting for meaningful conversations between residents and candidates.
Wee Willie Winkie says
If one wanted to have a ‘meet and greet’ at a ‘coffee-shop’, would it not make sense to do it in the morning when they sell the most coffee?
Paul R. Plante says
You would think!
Would seem to make more sense than going there when no one else was there.
Unless they are all like Kamala Harris and therefore, don’t really want people around to ask them hard questions.
That way it can be better staged and controlled to keep the disruptive element out.
The dregs of society who belong in a basket of deplorables.
Stuart Bell says
The candidates, Andy Buckholtz, Ed Wells, and Mark Usry, have each called Cape Charles home for over 20 years, but still Come-Heres.
